A simple and mushroom and peas pulao - gets made in minutes and satisfies your taste buds too. MUSHROOM AND PEAS PULAOIngredients1½ cups Basmati rice, soaked for 20 minutes14-15 button mushrooms, cut into quarters½ cup frozen green peas1 tablespoon oil 8-10 black peppercorns1 bay leaf1 teaspoon garlic paste1 large onion, slicedSalt to taste3 cups vegetable stock1 tablespoon lemon juiceDal fry for servingMethod1. Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add black peppercorns, bay leaf and garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute. 2. Add onion and sauté till golden brown. Add drained rice and sauté on medium heat for 1 minute. Add green peas and mushrooms, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add salt and mix well. 3. Add warm vegetable stock, mix and bring the mixture to boil. Cover and cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes or till the rice is done.4. Add lemon juice and mix well. 5. Serve hot with dal fry.
