Sautéed Shishito Peppers - Cooking Japanese

Shishito peppers are a mild, slightly sweet pepper found in many Japanese dishes. Sautéed shitshito is very easy to make and is a wonderful appetizer or side dish with drinks. In this recipe we use shirasu (baby sardines) to give it a little extra flavor. Shirasu is very mild and compliments the shishito well.

I hope you have a good time learning how to cook shishito at home. Please be sure to let us know how it turns out. I hope you enjoy Cooking Japanese!
