The beef noodle stall was first established by Mr Tans father in 1945 along Bugis Street, on a pushcart. The business shifted to Jalan Besar in 1983 before settling down at Golden Mile Food Centre in 2000.

Currently helmed by Mr Tan and his wife, beef noodle soup is still cooked in the original way passed down from his father. The Teochew-style soup is brewed using beef bones and parts. Other than the tender beef slices cooked to slight pink, tendon, tripe and beef balls are also offered.

A bowl of dry beef noodles covers mixed beef parts blanketed with thick gravy, strewn with coriander and salted vegetables. Dip the slices of beef into Chinchalok (Shrimp sauce) with lime and chilli, as well as the stall's special Teochew condiments - black beans and ginger mixed with salt and vinegar.

From grandfathers, to fathers and sons, generations of a family have come back to patronise the beef noodle stall. The stalls rich history and tastes will forever have a place in many hearts.
