60-year-old Mr Chia is the second generation of Qing Xiang Cooked Food, that has been established for more than 3 decades. Together with his wife, the duo starts preparation as early as 4.30am. Their dishes include Stir-fry Fish Head with Bitter Gourd and Black Beans, Braised Pigs Trotters, Bak Kut Teh, Sliced Fish Soup, Fried Hokkien Mee, and many more.

When asked about his favourite pastime, Mr Chia says singing is his clear-cut passion. Ask him a song, and you will probably be entertained and wowed by his variety of dialects - Teochew, Hokkien, Cantonese. Watch the video for Mr Chia's singing while preparing his nostalgic dishes!
