A three ingredient roasted seeds recipe with infinite flavor possibilities! Plus by doing this we'll show you how to cut food waste by using the whole squash! First, clean the seeds by rinsing them in a fine mesh strainer and removing as many of the strands as possible. Spread them in a single layer on a sheet of parchment paper and allow to air dry.

Then use this simple formula no matter what kind of seed or flavor you want. For every 1/2 cup of seeds, add:
1/2 tablespoon oil (use olive oil, melted coconut oil, melted grass fed butter or ghee or avocado oil. DON'T use vegetable oil or canola oil, and obviously no butter/ghee if you want to keep vegan)
1/2 teaspoon total powdered spice(s) of your choice
1/4 teaspoon kosher or sea salt.

Mix in a bowl to thoroughly coat all sides of the seeds with the oil and spice.
Bake at 300F/145C for 20-25 minutes or until starting to turn golden brown. Remember that they'll continue to cook slightly while they cool.
