What makes the 80-year-old prawn noodle so special? The Old Stall Famous Hokkien Street Prawn Mee

The Old Stall Famous Hokkien Street Prawn Mee has its humble beginning at Hokkien Street in 1943. It shifted to Hong Lim Food Centre in 1978 and its noodles has continued to gain popularity with customers. Helmed by the 3rd generation Mr Michael Tan, the near 80-year-old stall boasts of its natural tastes acquired through the use of natural ingredients, with no MSG is added.

The rich thick broth is painstakingly cooked with prawns, pork ribs, big pork bones, pig's tail, pig skin and a secret recipe that contains dried shrimp (Hae Bee). Simply tasty and irresistible umami bowl!

The stall also homemakes chilli powder with dried prawn (Hae Bee) that gives it a distinctive fragrance. Add a whiff of it to the noodle to get a spicy kick and oomph!
