Greece from ancient times. It is also one of the most nutritious, loaded with Omega-3 fatty acids, calcium, phosphorous, iron and folic acid. All sardine recipes are quite simple; the only secret is to find fresh sardines AND prepare them the same day. In this recipe, I bake my sardine filets in a spicy tomato sauce with onion, garlic, chili peppers and paprika for a very appetizing effect. In Greek, we call this dish "Sardeles pantremenes" i.e. married because they are combined with this special sauce!I hope you will enjoy it.
