Serves 6-7 persons
To make Easter Tsoureki, you need a lot of time and effort-but the result is always worth it. However, there are many reasons why you would want to turn tsoureki into french toast! These reasons may be:
1. Tsourekia actually become stale pretty quickly!
2. You made so many Tsourekia that you have a lot of leftovers.
3. Your recipe was not good and the Tsourekia turned out hard!
4. You love French toast more!
5. You don't want to throw your Tsourekia away after all this work!
For any or all of these reasons, don't throw away your Tsourekia. Let's make some French toast instead!! A beloved, classic French breakfast with a wonderful Greek twist!!
Note: I usually prepare a wonderful Tsoureki (check my separate recipe), like my Yiayia did, so it is eaten very quickly!! That’s why this recipe uses only a few leftover slices. If you happen to have more, just double the ingredients I write below! I have fond memories eating these at my Yiayia's home when I was small
