Hello home chefs. This time I have made a non-veg dish, that is Dahi wala Murg or “Curd Chicken” or "Dahi Chicken". This dish is not loaded with too many spices.

500 gram Onion (cut in pieces)
2 Tsp. Turmeric Powder.
1 Tbsp. Red Chili Powder (as per taste)

2 Tsp. Coriander Powder
2 Tsp. Chicken Masala Powder
½ Tsp. Dried fenugreek leaves

1 Black Cardamom
4-5 Green Cardamom
1 Tsp. Black / White Cumin Seeds
1 Tsp. Black pepper Corn
1 ½ inch Cinnamon piece
1 Bay leaf
Salt As per taste

Dahi Chicken Preparation
Marinate chicken pieces with 1 Tsp. turmeric and 1 Tsp. red chili powder. And keep aside for 15-20 minutes.
Beat the curd and make it smooth
Boil the onions with one cup of water for one whistle in the pressure cooker. Drain the water and let the onions cool at room temperature Add half of the curd in boiled and cool onions and make a paste.

Dahi Chicken Method
Heat half of the butter in a heavy bottom pan and sear the chicken pieces, (few at a time) for 2 minutes and keep aside. Now add rest of the butter in the pan and add whole spices for tempering. Now add onion-curd paste and sauté for few minutes, till its water dried up. Now add rest of the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder, and sauté and let the oil separate. Now add chicken pieces, chicken masala powder, salt and add 1 cup of water. Mix it properly and cover the pan, low the heat and cook for 10 minutes, (Stirring occasionally) and check it.
When chicken is almost done, off the heat, and cool it down for 2-3 minutes. Now prepare to tempering of dried fenugreek leaves with butter in another pan and add it to the chicken curry. Add rest of the beaten curd in the curry and mix properly. And cook again for 5 minutes on low heat with the cover on (Stirring occasionally). Curd Chicken is ready.
