Makes 15 rolls
Kataifi or Kadaifi dough/pastry is a special form of shredded phyllo dough which reminds you of vermicelli pasta! Kataifi is in fact one of the most popular desserts in Greece.
However in this recipe, I use the kataifi dough to make savoury rolls instead of sweet.
Individually wrapped with a lush filling of 3 Greek cheeses, these cute rolls are scrumptious, fluffy and perfect for lunch/snack or presented at a party buffet.
A very easy recipe to follow; just make sure you use all my tips on how to handle this special dough!
Suitable for lacto-ovo vegetarians.

INGREDIENTS:
Ingredients for the Kataifi rolls:
250 gr. / 9 oz Kataifi dough (frozen and thawed)
cup / 110 gr / 4 oz Butter or Margarine, melted
1 cup / 250 ml fresh Milk
1 large Egg
A generous amount of Freshly Ground Pepper
Ingredients for the Cheese Filling:
1 cup / 110 gr. / 4 oz Greek Feta cheese, crumbled
cup / 60 gr. / 2 oz Graviera cheese, grated (altern: Gouda cheese)
cup / 60 gr. / 2 oz Kefalotyri cheese, grated (altern: Pecorino, Kefalograviera cheese)
2 medium Eggs
Freshly Ground Pepper
