The whole year we were looking forward to the moment we would taste this delectable salad again which in our eyes was intertwined with the change of the year.My Auntie was preparing the Salad earlier on New Year's day and was serving it together with other delicacies like Cabbage Rolls while watching the “New Year’s Concert” from Vienna on TV! I think her idea was to make something classic and fresh, like the new year. Also, she wanted to wish us to live and be healthy as many years as the many pieces this Salad contained! I am thankful that I was able to get her unique, special recipe even if it was just a month after she passed away
