Baked Fish with Tofu (Swai) | The Chinese Cuisine

This is an easy and simple way to bake fish. The flavor naturally sinks in, making the fish light yet tasty. The tofu picks up the delicious taste of the fish and seasonings as well.

INGREDIENTS (4 servings):
- 2 swai fillet
- ginger slices
- green onions
- 1 tsp. sugar
- white pepper powder
- garlic powder
- cooking wine
- light soy sauce
- water
- 1/2 block firm tofu

DIRECTIONS:
1. let your fish thaw.
2. meanwhile, slice the ginger into thin slices
3. chop up some green onions
4. lay the ginger slices and green onions on thawed fish, which was put on baking tray
5. sprinkle even layer of sugar on top
6. sprinkle white pepper powder, garlic powder
7. pour in some cooking wine, light soy sauce
8. lastly, submerge fish halfway in water
9. chop up tofu into thin slices as shown and line along the edges of the baking tray
10. bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit
11. slice into individual servings, and enjoy!
