Black Pepper chicken | Kali Mirch ka Murga | काली मिर्च का मुर्ग | Easy and Quick Recipe | | Atima's Kitchen

When we talk about a twist in the flavor of the dish, we fundamentally change the proportions of the spices used, so as to enhance the flavor of the dish.

Ingredients
500 gram Chicken Pieces (Thighs & Drum sticks)
1 medium size Onion
1 tbsp. Curd / Yogurt
4 Green Cardamom
1 inch Cinnamon
4 Cloves
3-4 Strands Mace
½ tsp. White Cumin Seeds
½ tsp. Black Cumin seeds
2 tsp. Black Pepper Seeds
1 tsp. Coriander Powder
1 tsp. Garam Masala / Chicken Masala
1 Bay Leaf
50 gram Butter
Salt to taste
Combine all whole spices, Garam Masala and Coriander Powder together and grind, add Onion and grind again.
Add this mixture and curd in the chicken, mix thoroughly and leave for a ½ hour for marinating.
In a heavy bottom pan heat butter and add Bay leaf.
Now add all the chicken pieces with masala, and add salt and mix well. Cover and cook on low heat for 12-15 minutes, till chicken is tender. Stir occasionally, to prevent the spices from burning.
When chicken is cooked, serve hot.

Tip.
Do not add salt in the marinade, as the chicken will loose its juices
