Makes 18 portions
Saragli or Saraglakia are traditional Baklava sweets shaped like rolls instead of layered. They are a mouthwatering combination of golden phyllo wrapped around delicious Greek pistachio nuts and a light, aromatic syrup. They are not overly sweet, which makes them practically irresistible.
A relatively easy recipe, it just has a few tricks up its sleeve on how to shape these exquisite small rolls. I promise you'll succeed 100%, if you follow all my instructions and tips, so pls check them carefully!! A supreme must-try sweet.
Suitable for lacto-vegetarians.

INGREDIENTS:
Ingredients for the Saraglakia:
250 gr / 9 oz Phyllo pastry (small package, defrosted)
125 - 140 gr / 4.4 - 4.9 oz Butter (good quality)
180 gr / 6.3 oz / 1.8 cups Pistachio Nuts (finely chopped in food processor)
A Chop Stick or a long Wooden or Metallic Stick (rod) or a long Knitting Needle (pin)

Ingredients for the Syrup:
250 gr / 9 oz / 1.1 cups Sugar
2/3 cup / 160 ml Water
1.5 tbsp. / 23 ml Greek Honey
1 Cinnamon Stick
1 tsp. Lemon juice
2 slices Orange peels
