Chinese Pan-Fried Pork Meatballs (南煎丸子) | The Chinese Cuisine

These meatballs are juicy and delicious!

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 stalk green onion, chopped
- 70g water chestnuts, minced
- 150g ground pork
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp cooking wine
- 1/2 chinkiang vinegar
- 1/8 tsp dark soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. corn starch
- oil

- 1 tsp. oyster sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1.4 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp. cooking wine
- 1 tsp. water

DIRECTIONS:
1. mix together pork, water chestnuts, and half of the green onions
2. add in soy sauce, dark soy sauce, cooking wine, chinkiang vinegar and mix well
3. add in cornstarch
4. add in whisked egg slowly in three parts. the meat should be thoroughly mixed and 'smooth'
5. add olive oil to a pan on low heat
6. form the meat into equal sized balls and place in the pan
7. once all the meatballs are in the pan, you can turn the heat up
8. flip once the bottoms are brown
9. fry the rest of the green onions in the oil so that the flavors come out
10. make a 'sauce' by mixing together oyster sauce, soy sauce, cooking wine, sugar, and water
11. pour onto the meatballs
12. once the mixture has evaporated, your meatballs are done!
13. serve and enjoy!
