Chinese Pork Meatball Soup (丸子白菜汤) | The Chinese Cuisine

This soup is warm and delicious and great as an appetizer.

INGREDIENTS:
- baby bok choy
- 5 oz. ground pork
- 1 tsp. sugar
- garlic powder
- white pepper powder
- cooking wine
- chinkiang vinegar
- light soy sauce
- chopped green onions
- sesame oil
- 1/3 of an egg
- olive oil
- ginger slices
- fish sauce

DIRECTIONS:
1. chop up the stalks of some baby bok choy until it reaches a mushy texture. add salt and let it sit aside
2. take pork and add in sugar, garlic powder, white pepper powder, cooking wine, light soy sauce, and chinkiang vinegar
3. mix well
4. squeeze out excess water from bok choy, and mix in with meat along with chopped green onions
5. drizzle in some sesame oil and mix again
6. whisk 1 egg and pour 1/3 of it in the pork mixture. you can use the rest for another dish, meal, etc.
7. spray pan with olive oil
8. add meatballs on heated pan (low heat)
9. do not cook them thoroughly - just make sure they retain their shapes
10. add ginger slices and meatballs in pressure cooker
11. submerge in water and a bit of fish sauce for flavor. add in bok choy leaves
12. cook on 'soup' option for 15 minutes
13. serve with a bit of sesame oil and enjoy!
