EASY Homemade Lo Mein (捞面) | The Chinese Cuisine

Lo mein is a common Chinese takeout dish but it tastes much better and is much healthier homemade! You can replace the meat and vegetables as you like.

INGREDIENTS (6 servings):
1. carrot strips
2. olive oil
3. cabbage strips
4. baby bok choy
5. noodles
6. sesame oil
7. ginger slices
8. sichuan pepper
9. 1/2 lb ground pork
10. chopped green onions
11. chinkiang vinegar
12. light soy sauce
13. dark soy sauce
14. cooking wine
15. sugar

DIRECTIONS:
1. saute all the vegetables in olive oil until they are a little limp but still colorful
2. boil your noodles, and strain
3. add in sesame oil so the noodles don't clump
4. heat a stir-fry pan and add in olive oil and sliced ginger
5. let the ginger soak in the oil before removing, and add in the sichuan pepper
6. let the flavor of the sichuan pepper sink in the oil as well before removing
7. add in the ground pork and stir-fry for several minutes
8. add in cooking wine, chinkiang vinegar, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and one small teaspoon of sugar.
9. stir-fry for a couple more minutes and add in the noodles
10. lastly, add in the sauteed vegetables and mix everything thoroughly
