How to make IMO YOKAN Japanese Sweet Potato Jelly Traditional Autumn Dessert

Imo Yokan is a traditional Japanese Autumn dessert made of Sweet Potato. The taste is humble and simple, but we crave this dessert at this time of the year.

It requires a few ingredients and easy to make, but I give it a little twist to add some texture and look gorgeous.

10cm7cm (43 inches) container
1 large Sweet Potato (300g/10oz)
30g (1oz) sugar
3g (1 teaspoon) agar-agar powder (Kanten)
a pinch of salt
