HOW TO MAKE AMAZAKE (甘酒) | Japanese Traditional Fermented Sweet Drink Made from Rice | Kitchen Princess Bamboo

Amazake Means a sweet Sake in Japanese. It's a traditional fermented drink that we drink for thousands of years.

It’s actually a summer drink to recover from fatigue from the heat and humidity of Japanese hot summer.

but more popular to drink in winter, it sells at the Temple or shrines around this time of the year put some grated ginger on top to warm up your body.

The taste is kind of funky but has a comforting aroma.

It's so sweet but it doesn’t contain any sugar, so you can use it as a sugar substitute if you want to avoid taking any sugar.
