OKAKI | No Fat and Healthy Japanese Rice Snack (EP261) | Kitchen Princess Bamboo

OKAKI or Kakimochi is a traditional rice snack in Japan, made from dried Mochi.

Usually, we deep fry the Mochi to create a crispy but soft texture. But today I cooked in the microwave to puff up the Mochi. So it's much healthier!

Ingredients

100~ 150g Sundried leftover Mochi

・Soy sauce Flavor
1 cup puffed-up Mochi
2 teaspoon soy sauce

・Dashi Salt Flavor
1 cup puffed-up Mochi
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon dashi powder

・"Nure" Okaki
1 cup puffed-up Mochi
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Mirin
