Steamed Fresh Sea Bass (清蒸鱼) | The Chinese Cuisine

This steamed fresh sea bass is buttery soft and flavorful!

INGREDIENTS:
- 1 branzino (sea bass)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 10 ml cooking wine
- 2 tbsp. oil
- 10g ginger
- 2 stalks green onions, chopped
- 2g Sichuan peppercorns
- 15g oyster sauce

DIRECTIONS:
1. Slice slits into both sides of the fish
2. Season both sides of the fish with salt, cooking wine, and oyster sauce
3. Tuck ginger slices into the slits
4. Rub oyster sauce inside of the fish
5. Top fish with the white parts of the green onions
6. Marinate for one hour
7. Steam for 15 minutes on high heat
8. Remove the ginger slices and top with the green parts of the green onions
9. Add oil to a pan over medium heat
10. Cook Sichuan peppercorns in the oil before taking out
11. Drizzle the oil on top of the fish
12. Serve and enjoy!
